Aminated ELISA Plates:
After surface modification, the ELISA plate has positively charged amino groups and the hydrophobic bond is replaced by hydrophilic bond. This kind of ELISA plate is suitable for use as solid phase carrier of samll molecule proteins. By using suitable buffers and pH values, its surface can bind with negatively charged small molecules through ionic bond. Because of its surface hydrophilic property and its ability of covalent bonding through other cross linking protein molecules dissolved in such detergents as Triton-100 and Tween 20. The drawback of this kind of ELISA plate is that part of the protein molecules cannot be bound due to the reduced hydrophobic. In addition, its surface must be effectively blocked. Because of the surface properties of hydeophilic and covalence bonding, the blocking agents used must be able to interact functional groups of the selected cross linking agents, e. G. Succinimide, aldehyde and maleimide.
